The first post!
I managed to get my recipe blog up and running. For now, I have just created the framework for the site using photos of dishes I’ve made so far.
I don’t have any other content up yet, but that’s okay! I want to gradually upload delicious recipes here on this site and share them with you!
I would like to share my successes from many failures—and your successes and failures—in the pursuit of everyday deliciousness.
Hopefully, when my son, who has never really cooked before, is on his own he will be happy to recreate the taste of his mother’s cooking.
The secret of getting ahead is getting started.

Looking back, the idea for the recipe blog started around August 2023. The first step was choosing a server, and the first two months were spent comparing and investigating before the server contract was signed in October 2023.
Nowadays, we live in a very convenient world where information is easily available. At the same time though, the amount of information available is overwhelming, so it is quite difficult for a novice to gather and work through the information to make the right choice. Still, the time I spent on research was well worth it, and I think I found the best balance between cost and reliability in the server contract that suited me best. Well, if you don’t have a budget limit, I’m sure you can buy reliability and time!
After signing the server contract and deciding on a WordPress theme for the blog design, I had been aiming to launch in 2023. But it was just not that easy; I struggled with WordPress and the theme, and after many trials and errors, I found myself in the Christmas holidays.
After the long holiday, I started up again in February 2024 but faced further technical issues: I had a lot of computer and plugin problems.
For a while, I couldn’t see the light. But I didn’t want to stay in a state of constant preparation—so I decided to just launch. And I’ll work on constantly improving things as I go.
